About Adapta Design

We are a small new company specifically formed in 2002 to manufacture and distribute the Adaptabed that we originally designed for our own narrowboat.

During the course of development the number of options has evolved and it is now capable of being converted into eight different alternative set-ups. The exceptional space-saving that this gives makes it a unique system, especially for narrowboats. Several people have decided to have one for rooms in their houses too.
The Adaptabed kit is now in full scale quality production through our sub contractors and the design has been patented.

We need to make it available for potential customers in as many areas as possible to see for themselves. At present, apart from seeing it at Shows, we only have our demonstration boat for this at Ramsey, near Huntingdon off the A1 and a chandler at Stone (Staffs) off the M6 who has a kit on display. We offer an attractive deal to purchasers in other areas prepared to show their new Adaptabed to interested boaters.
