Components, Materials and Structure

Each kit supplied contains six separate mattress units of high quality carefully selected fire retardent foam of a firm density total 5" thick, including layers of Dacron to give a softer feel. They are all 30" wide and 24" long to give the required total sleeping length. If the width of a boat is less than 6 ft, sets of mattress units of slightly shorter total length are supplied.
Covers are closely fitted and zipped heavy calico linen, of neutral colour - that may be readily washed or dyed to alternative colours if required.

Two of the above adjustable bed units are supplied in each kit

The bed structures have welded tubular steel frames, black powder-coated with end knob inserts from solid turned ash. The main bearers and trim are solid mahogany (sapele). The boards are ply, veneered to match the remainder of the structure. Dimensions are jig controlled throughout to ensure the quality and precision necessary to ensure fit in each set-up. They are supplied with a spray sealed lacquer finish in the natural colour.
